Sidney Lavis

The Very Rev Sidney Warren Lavis DD (also spelled Sydney; 1873–July 1965) was an eminent Anglican clergyman in the 20th century.[1]

He was born in 1873 and ordained in 1899.[2] He was Rector of St Paul’s, Cape Town, then the area’s Archdeacon [3] before his appointment as Dean of Capetown.
He died in July 1965.[4]
